Aaron Hagger - Mitzvah Project

For my mitzvah project, I was excited to help out at the WOOF project run by Oscar’s Arc, a pop-up dog adoption agency at the V&A Waterfront.

I got to walk and play with the dogs, which was really fun! Spending time with them made me happy, and I realized how important it is to be kind and help others—especially animals, that don’t have a voice for themselves.

Oscar’s Arc was started by Joanne Lefson in 2017, to increase dog adoption rates and save animal lives by providing convenient adoption opportunities for shelter dogs.

It acts as a tribute to her own adopted dog, Oscar, who traveled with her to 42 countries to promote the adoption of homeless dogs before he died.

You can help too! Oscars Arc WOOF project is open from Thursday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can volunteer, bring supplies, make a small donation or even adopt a dog! Even a little bit helps these animals have a better life. If you would like to help, go to https://oscarsarc.org/give.html
