Three centres One community
Shabbat Chessed and Rina
Started in 2009 by a committed group of lay leaders who wanted an Erev Shabbat service to suit their needs, Shabbat Chessed is an inclusive and participatory service run twice per month in Wynberg, with Shabbat Rina taking place once per month in Green Point. Various instruments are featured and all children are welcome. Each of these services is followed by a generous brocha which is sponsored by members of the congregation
West Coast Erev Shabbat and Shabbat Mornings
This is truly a service where the community takes an active part in giving full voice to the liturgy every single week. The special West Coast ruach and community spirit is world famous. A sponsored brocha follows the service every Shabbat which gives all a chance to schmooze. The special ruach is extended to the West Coast Shabbat morning services which take place once per month, featuring the same ruach and obligatory brocha.

Shabbat at Temple Israel
Shabbat is an opportunity to refresh your soul, connect with family and friends and reflect on your week. Temple Israel runs Shabbat services in Green Point, Wynberg and West Coast. Each shul and service has their own special ruach.
Shabbat Mornings
In both Green Point and Wynberg, we have an inspiring and participatory every week. We are also very proud to have at least three bnei mitzvah every month where the excellent training skills of our rabbis and teachers result in services that are both meaningful and inspiring. All morning services are followed by brochas.
