Annual Cheesecake Competition

A highlight of our Shavuot celebration is the beloved Cheesecake Competition, hosted by the delightful Suzelle DIY. This event invites congregants to showcase their baking talents, fostering a sense of camaraderie and joy. Participants present their finest cheesecakes, and the community comes together to taste and vote for their favourites, making it a fun and delicious tradition for all ages.

Evening Service and Community Dinner

Following the competition, we gather for a soulful Shavuot service led by Rabbi Greg Alexander. The service is followed by a communal dinner, offering a time for reflection, connection, and celebration. This shared meal embodies the spirit of unity and hospitality that defines our congregation.

Night of Learning

Embracing the tradition of Tikkun Leil Shavuot, the evening continues with engaging study sessions. These discussions delve into various aspects of Torah and Jewish thought, encouraging participants to explore and deepen their understanding. It's an opportunity for learners of all levels to come together in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Family-Friendly Activities

Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, our Shavuot celebration features activities designed for children and families. From interactive storytelling to creative crafts, these programs ensure that younger members of our community are engaged and inspired throughout the evening.
