Benjamin Jantjies - BMitzvah Mitzvah Project

For my Mitzvah project I have decided to do a Beach cleanup at Lagoon Beach, this will involve organising a group of volunteers to clean up the beach, removing litter and debris that could harm sea life, wildlife or the environment. Beaches are often heavily visited and can become littered with trash, plastics and other harmful items. This beach cleanup will provide people with an opportunity to work together to collect and dispose of harmful waste to help protect the health and beauty of the beach for both people and animals and would be solely about helping to contribute to the environment and a prime example of tikkun olam “repairing the world”. Overall a beach clean-up is a very meaningful and impactful way to give back to nature and fulfil the mitzvah of helping to care for the world around us.
