SHEALTIEL SMITH'S BAR MITZVAH MITZVAH
For Shealti-El’s mitzvah project, he started a recycling project at his former school, Stratford Primary. He supplied the school with cardboard boxes to keep all of their used paper for recycling. He then went around to each classroom, explaining the importance of recycling and instructing them as to where to place the papers until the Friday collection day. He collected papers and took them to the local recycling place King Metals. The money from recycling was donated to the homeless to complete the mitzvah. This project is intended to be an ongoing affair to encourage recycling, environmental awareness and to demonstrate the difference that each individual can make by a small change in their actions.
